Tuition Fees

Tuition rates are for the full season (August through May, including studio holidays) not by the number of classes in the month. Tuition fees are paid monthly, by the semester (5 months), or for the year (10 months: Aug-May).

Tuition Payments

After registering (paying for August and May lessons and your registration fee) monthly tuition (September – April) must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment.  Tuition will be debited from your account on the 1st day of each month (September – April).  Only tuition fees may be paid by auto-debit or credit card.  Performance costumes will be paid for separately on the following dates: September 1st for The Nutcracker, November 1st  for Student Showcase

Tuition Discounts

Additional students residing in the same household enrolled at an equal or lesser tuition cost will receive a 10% discount.

Family Value Plan

Families may wish to consider our Family Value Plan option.  This is a flat tuition amount of $200 paid monthly that allows unlimited access to all CAA classes in dance, fencing, martial arts, padded weapons, fitness classes and use of our exercise equipment in our workout area.

Late Fees/NSF Fees

Late Fees are assessed on any account that is overdue the tuition deadline of the 10th of the month. The Late Fee is $15. NSF on paper checks, auto-debit, auto-charge payments will incur a $20 NSF fee which will be charged electronically to your bank.

Withdrawal From Classes

There is a two month minimum for all lessons.  One month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any payments.  To withdraw a parent must: 1) Inform the studio in person, and 2) complete and sign a withdrawal form.  All automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period.

Refunds

Refunds are only issued when CAA cancels a class due to low enrollment.

Credit Vouchers

We do not pro-rate tuition for missed classes. Credit vouchers will be issued if a student initiates a schedule change. Vouchers may be applied to any CAA tuition or fees and must be used within one year.

Attendance

Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography.  Please make every effort to attend each class.  We do not prorate tuition for ANY reason - except for a major medical emergency. If students miss a lesson due to illness, travel, or other reason, they have the option of attending a ‘make-up’ lesson from our class schedule. Students may make up missed classes until April 1st.  If you miss more than two of the final eight classes before the recital you may be dismissed from participating in the recital routine at the discretion of the teacher.

Rescheduling and Substitution

CAA reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regular teacher is ill or is otherwise unavailable to teach.  CAA reserves the right to reschedule or combine classes.

Class Transfer / Change

Changing class sections is allowed within one week of registration without a fee.  There is a $10.00 charge for changes or cancellations made after the initial registration period (one week after registration). Credit vouchers will be issued if a student initiates a schedule change.

Observation of Classes

Once each semester, CAA hosts formal observation days for parents, family and friends to observe a class.  However, you may view your children in some classes via our in-house monitors positioned in our waiting areas. Other observation is at the teacher’s discretion.  We ask that you observe classes quietly, that cell phones are turned off and that siblings are monitored and quiet during observations.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, an email message, a Tweet, and a Facebook Status Update will be sent by 2pm regarding the status of classes for the afternoon and evenings.  If you are scheduled for an early morning class we will call you directly to notify you if your class will still meet.  Any cancelled classes due to the weather may be made up on your own time from our regular schedule of classes.  In the event there is not a make up class available, a replacement class will be scheduled.

The Nutcracker

Every year we present the full-length world-famous ballet The Nutcracker. Information regarding The Nutcracker is given upon registration.  Costumes are owned by the Collierville Ballet Company and are rented by CAA students.  We also ask for many adult volunteers to help with on-stage roles and behind-the-scenes to make this one of Collierville’s most favorite holiday traditions.

Costume Orders & Exchanges

• All classes have a costume unless noted on the ‘class details’ page

• Costume rental (in full) are due by September 1st for The Nutcracker and are not refundable for any reason.

• Costume payments (in full) are due by November 1st for the annual Student Showcase in May and are not refundable for any reason.  These costumes are ordered over Thanksgiving Break and may take up to fourteen weeks to receive as they are made-to-order only.  Costumes will not be ordered unless they are paid in full.

• Students are measured for costumes during their class time in November.  For young children, we allow for growth room when we measure.  If a costume does not fit properly, we will make every effort with the manufacturer to correct the issue, however, we must return the costume in its original packaging within one week of receiving it.  After that first week, additional shipping/handing fees may apply or there may be limited availability.

Costume orders required a parent’s signature at the front desk

Please let us know as soon as possible of any conflicts in scheduling, we try to accommodate student’s needs while meeting the technical demands of the show. Our priority is to prepare your children for the performance experience of a lifetime!
